Dr. Yoo resides in New York, which is one of the most multicultural and diverse communities in the world. Even though people come from all different backgrounds, Dr. Yoo believes that we can communicate through a common language called Music.

Dr. Yoo is involved in several projects that embrace individual differences while advocating a culturally inclusive and responsive community through music performance and music education. As a board member at New Jersey Flute Society, Dr. Yoo strives to cultivate diversity in leadership, membership, and programming. She is always seeking opportunities to create connections between people and to reach beyond the conventional framework of music.
